Run A Drive

Running a drive with ScholarReach is a very simple process, and one where we provide you with any resource or help you may need. Below is more detailed information about what running a drive with ScholarReach looks like and how to get started.

The Process

A step-by-step guide to running your own school supply drive with ScholarReach.

01

Reach Out

Contact us at scholarreachnyc@gmail.com or fill out the form below to get started.

02

Get School Approval and Plan

Get approval from your school administration to run a drive and find a staff member to oversee the drive. Figure out how long you'd like the drive to be (we recommend 2 weeks minimum), whether you'd like to work with a student group at your school (such as key club or student council), and where in your school you'd like the collection boxes to be placed.

03

Promote Your Drive

Acquire your collection boxes, assemble a team of volunteers to help you (optional), and begin promoting the drive. Utilize social media, word-of-mouth, in-school marketing such as a promotional in your school's newsletter or morning announcement, and/or ask teachers to promote the drive to their students.

04

Conclude Your Drive

Continue promoting the drive as the days go by, keeping track of how many donations you've received. When your drive concludes, count up the received donations, pack up your boxes and reach back out to us. We will then arrange a pick-up or drop-off from/to a humanitarian aid organization.

05

You're Done!

Congrats! You've successfully run a drive. If you'd like, you can now get featured on our social media and website, but regardless, great work!

What We Provide

We provide whatever you may need throughout your drive planning and running process in order to make your life as easy as possible. Our offerings include:

01

Assistance with getting your administration's approval.

If needed, we can handle getting approval from your administration, which includes meeting with/emailing them and helping to convince them to allow the drive to occur.*

03

Assistance with acquiring containers.

If you live in New York City, we can provide you with containers such as bags or boxes directly. If you do not, we can help find free or affordable containers in your area and/or fund your purchase of containers.

05

Acquiring a humanitarian aid organization to donate to.

Unless you already have a local humanitarian aid organization you'd like to donate to, we can find and partner with an organization in your area that will take the donations your supply drive raises. We can then work to arrange a pick-up from that organization to spare you the hassle of a commute.*

02

Assistance with assembling a team.

If needed, we can help reach out to student groups at your school, such as Key Clubs or Student Governments and attempt to get them to help you in the promotion and running of your drive.

04

Assistance with promoting your drive.

Our social media team is always available to assist you, and we are willing to provide any social media posts, graphics, and/or posters you may need. On top of that, we can provide any other promotional materials you may need, and promote your drive through our own platforms.

06

Anything else you might need!

If there's any other help or any other resources you may need in your drive running process, do not hesitate to reach out and ask. We're with you every step of the way to ensure a smooth and successful drive process.
